At Shore, we endeavour to support the wellbeing not only of our students, but also of staff and our broader community. This week, we had the privilege of hosting Dr Adam Fraser for a special Professional Development Day speaker series. The day began with an all-staff seminar where Dr Fraser shared practical strategies to prevent burnout and maintain work-life balance. This was followed by a session for our Leadership team, which built on these insights, focusing on team-wide approaches to overcoming burnout.
For the final session, Mr Doug Broadbent, Head of Teaching and Learning (Acting), graciously invited the wider community to join Dr Fraser for a talk on The Third Space. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, despite the rainy weather. We hope that you’ve already begun incorporating the practice of mindful transitions from work to home life, and are feeling the benefits in both your personal and professional lives.
We also thank Dr Fraser for sharing his invaluable insights, knowledge, and practical tools, leaving us with strategies we can apply in our daily lives.
