Shore Students Achieve Strong Results in Reading and Numeracy

In light of this, we are proud of our students and staff for their hard work in achieving the following results. 

Year 3 Results: 

  • In reading, 87.5% of Shore’s Year 3 participants achieved 'Strong' or 'Exceeding' results, compared to the national average of 66.3%. Notably, 54.2% of Shore students were in the 'Exceeding' category, far outpacing the national figure of 20.1%. 
  • In numeracy, 91.5% of Shore’s Year 3 students recorded 'Strong' or 'Exceeding' results, compared to 63.5% nationally. An impressive 27.7% of Shore’s participants were in the 'Exceeding' category, more than double the national average of 10.2%. 

Year 5 Results: 

  • For Year 5 reading, 93.3% of Shore participants achieved 'Strong' or 'Exceeding' results, while the national average stood at 71.3%. Additionally, 52% of Shore students were 'Exceeding', compared to 21.5% nationally. 
  • In numeracy, 93.3% of Shore’s Year 5 participants recorded 'Strong' or 'Exceeding' results, well above the national average of 67.8%. Shore’s 'Exceeding' category percentage was 41.3%, compared to just 12.5% nationally.

Year 7 Results: 

  • In Year 7 reading, 93.4% of Shore’s students achieved 'Strong' or 'Exceeding' results, compared to 67.3% nationally. The 'Exceeding' percentage at Shore was 53.6%, far higher than the national figure of 19.9%.
  • Numeracy results showed 97.2% of Shore’s Year 7 students performing at 'Strong' or 'Exceeding' levels, compared to 67.2% nationally. Nearly half (47.4%) of Shore’s participants were in the 'Exceeding' category, compared to 13.5% nationally. 

Year 9 Results: 

  • In Year 9 reading, 89.3% of Shore students achieved 'Strong' or 'Exceeding' results, compared to the national average of 63.0%. The 'Exceeding' percentage for Shore was 45.1%, more than double the national figure of 18%. 
  • For numeracy, 94.9% of Shore’s Year 9 participants recorded 'Strong' or 'Exceeding' results, compared to 63.4% nationally. Shore students in the 'Exceeding' category made up 38.1%, compared to 8.9% nationally.
